In a set of simulation studies, we examine dyadic imitative interactions of robots using a variational recurrent neural network model. The model is based on the free energy principle such that a pair of interacting robots find themselves in a loop, attempting to predict and infer each other's actions using active inference. We examined how regulating the complexity term to minimize free energy determines the dynamic characteristics of networks and interactions. When one robot trained with tighter regulation and another trained with looser regulation interact, the latter tends to lead the interaction by exerting stronger action intention, while the former tends to follow by adapting to its observations. The study confirms that the dyadic imitative interaction becomes successful by achieving a high synchronization rate when a leader and a follower are determined by developing action intentions with strong belief and weak belief, respectively.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10001_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"Publisher","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"IEEE"}]},"item_10001_relation_14":{"attribute_name":"DOI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isIdenticalTo","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"info:doi/10.1109/LRA.2021.3090015","subitem_relation_type_select":"DOI"}}]},"item_10001_relation_17":{"attribute_name":"Related site","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9457162","subitem_relation_type_select":"URI"}}]},"item_10001_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"2377-3766","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10001_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"Author's flag","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2021-07-12"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"09457162.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"2.7 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","license_note":"Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International(https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"09457162","url":"https://oist.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2164/files/09457162.pdf"},"version_id":"206f40af-478d-48d2-a1c4-21fcc3a25550"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Predictive coding","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Cognitive robotics","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"humanoid robots","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"activity recognition","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"adaptive control","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"inference algorithms","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Leading or Following?
